The Product Data Administrator enters and maintains item and product data in ProTech business system software platforms. The “PDA” is responsible for accurately reflecting product structure, component, and labor requirements so these resources can be planned and consumed appropriately.

  • Transfer design Bills of Material (BOMs) into ERP through manual, upload and automated methods.
  • Structure design BOMs to consume labor through the appropriate shop floor routing steps.
  • Create and maintain item master data for materials both purchased and manufactured.
  • Maintain a schedule of master data integrity audits. Produce audit analyses for review and transfer change results into ERP through manual, upload and automated methods.
  • Applies ProTech design standards to all BOM efforts on released products.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Experience in mechanical and/or industrial drafting preferred
  • Ability to understand detailed assembly BOMs
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • General knowledge of common practice standards indented BOM creation
  • Process discipline
  • Good working knowledge of ERP systems a plus

Physical Conditions

  • Standing and/or sitting for prolonged periods of time – up to 8 hours or more per day.
  • Appearance at all times must represent the company image.
  • Occasional lifting of up to 25 lbs.
  • Occasional moderate to loud noise level.
  • May be exposed to metal dust, tools and machinery found in a manufacturing environment.
  • Fast-paced, customs manufacturing environment; subject to numerous priority changes requiring ability to track, follow up and ensure customer needs are met.
