ProTech Bee Hauler Flatbed for Trucks

Moving bees isn’t like hauling lumber or pallets. You’re dealing with live cargo, tight timelines, and the need for consistent airflow, stability, and secure tie-downs. A standard flatbed can get the job done—but it won’t hold up the same way over time or support the way beekeepers actually work.

That’s where the ProTech bee hauler flatbed stands apart. It’s built from the ground up for demanding, real-world use—combining structural strength, smart design, and long-term durability.

A Stronger Foundation That Holds Its Shape

Every ProTech flatbed starts with a solid aluminum structure designed to eliminate flex under load. The deck is built using 1.25” interlocking tongue-and-groove extruded aluminum boards, supported by 5” zee 6061-T6 aluminum structural cross-members. This combination creates a rigid platform that resists racking, even when hauling uneven or shifting loads like bee boxes.

With a capacity of up to 1,000 pounds per linear foot, these beds are more than capable of handling full hive loads, honey harvests, and equipment. And if your operation requires something more specific, ProTech can build to your exact target.

ProTech uses Huck-Clinch® aircraft-style mechanical fasteners—the same type of fastening system used in aerospace and military applications.

Designed Specifically for Bee Haulers

Beekeeping brings its own set of challenges, and this flatbed is built to address them directly. A full-height mesh headboard allows for continuous airflow, helping keep bees ventilated during transport. Along the deck and headboard, you’ll find multiple rope tie-down points so you can secure hives quickly and confidently.

At the rear, a ramp lip makes loading and unloading easier—especially when working with heavy boxes or equipment. Additional options like fixed (no-swivel) D-rings in the side rails provide solid, reliable tie-off points that won’t shift under tension.

Bee hauling isn’t just about the load—it’s also about having the right tools within reach.

ProTech flatbeds can be outfitted with custom underbody storage boxes built to your exact specifications. These boxes are constructed from marine-grade, corrosion-resistant aluminum and sealed with neoprene bulb seals to keep out dust, rain, and debris. Whether you’re carrying tools, straps, smokers, or other gear, everything stays protected and organized.

Built to Fit Your Truck and Your Operation

No two operations are exactly the same, and ProTech doesn’t force a one-size-fits-all approach. Flatbeds are available in lengths ranging from 9 to 24 feet, with standard deck widths of 84”, 93”, and 96”, plus extruded floor widths in 3-inch increments.

Stake pockets are aligned directly with cross-members to maintain structural integrity, even under heavy side loads. The side rails use polished proprietary extrusions, finished with TIG-welded, cleaned, and buffed corners—giving the truck a clean, professional look without sacrificing durability.

A bee hauler flatbed takes a beating over time—constant loading, rough roads, and exposure to the elements. That’s why every ProTech flatbed is backed by a 5-year limited warranty. It’s not just about building a strong product—it’s about building one that holds up year after year.

Optional Features That Add Capability

Depending on how you run your operation, you can add:

  • Underbody winches (mounted at the ends or along the sides)
  • Underbody spare tire carrier to free up deck space
  • Additional tie-down and storage configurations

These options let you build a setup that actually matches your workflow instead of working around limitations.
